Question
Hi there,

I am the owner of a loveable 3 year old male pug. I have never had him around a lot of dogs and female ones at that. I recently brought another pug who is 3 years old and a female, for companionship for my male pug, that and the fact my son and I both adore pugs.
Anyhow my question is, the female i brought is desexed and a bit snappy at him so should I have him desexed or will they learn to get along????

Answer
Lin,

With it being a spayed female that you have added to your family, it should not matter as much if your male is neutered or not.  If you give them time, they should start getting along.  If it were two males, I would suggest that they both be neutered.

After saying that, I would like to add that neutering your dog will help with a lot of other behaviors.
