Our Pug puppy is lovely and has a great charactor yet recently he has started to bite my partner.She only has to put her hand down and he gives her a definate bite(not a nip)He will take a bit of notice when I call him and a also a bit when our 11 year oldcalls but not when my partner calls.It it a pack order thing?Grateful for any help you can give.Thanks

I don't think it is a pack order thing.  I just think he is learning bad habits - biting and not listening.

You need to do some major training.  Your pup is still young and learning his behavior.  Don't let him get by with being a bad boy.  You do not want to have a dog that bites.

You need to be consistent in your training.  This is the most important thing to training.

He needs to be scolded or lightly tapped on his nose, EVERY time he bites.  Don't even let him bite when he is playing.

Then you also need to make him listen.  Do not ignore it when he doesn't listen to you.  Stop what you are doing and make him mind you.

Finally, make sure to give him plenty of praise when he obeys!!!
