Question
I have a 3 week old pug puppy - should I now begin to give him additional food beside his mothesrs silk.  Also as he is by himself should we be playing with him - he sleeps and eats!! - he has a few tiny bald patches on his head we think its like cradle cap - what should I do about this - it doean't look very nice.  Could it be a tiny flea bit - though I don't think we have any fleas!!!

Answer
Mary,

I think 3 weeks old is a little young for puppy food, unless he is not getting enough nutrition from his mother.

We usually start pug puppies on puppy food between 5 and 6 weeks old.

If the spots on his head get worse, you should see a vet.  I would put some antibiotic ointment and see if it clears up.
