QuestionI have the choice of 1 out of two males and two female Pug puppies(4 in all). What should I look for? Which sex is easier to housetrain? What should I look for when playing with the puppies when I choose? Any help would be appreciated as I am new to this breed...
AnswerI would say that probably a female would be easier to house break. When I got my first pug puppy, I watched them all run and play. They were all so adorable it was a hard decision. As they played in the breeders kitchen, only one puppy learned to duck her head as she ran under chair rungs. The others continued to bonk their heads. I figured that the one that ducked was the smart one and boy was she. She was the absolute love and joy of my life.
You want a puppy that comes to you and is playful and affectionate. Sometimes they pick you not the other way around.
Good luck and congratulations on your new little furbaby.
