QuestionLast Saturday I noticed my 4 yr old pug was walking like she was drunk. She seemed to have lost contol of her legs and kept staggering and her limbs seem to have a mind of their own. I picked her up and she seemed disoriented. Her heart beat was very rapid and he was panting heavily. When it was all done, she seemed to have difficulty going up and down stairs. The next day she was back to normal but the incident has left me shaken.
AnswerHi Fran. I'm going to answer this question to the best of my ability. Though you may want to speak to her vet for further information. Was she exposed to heat at all? This might be a touch of heat exhaustion. Was her water empty? Other than that I really don't know. But I do know that pugs do not take kindly to heat and will easily even die of heat exhaustion. Let me know how it goes or if she does anything like that again. And of course, I would try to speak to your vet. Good luck.
