grooming - nose

I try to keep our pug's nose and creases clean by using a damp cloth. She licks it so frequently that it gets dry and has developed cracks. I have tried using vaseline, that didn't work, and am now trying olive oil. Has anyone else had this problem with their pugs?

Some pug noses require little to no maintenance and for others it is a contant battle. We use Malasab pledgelets or baby wipes to clean the nose roll and "try" to keep vaseline on their noses. I would think olive oil would invite them to lick their nose even more as it is pretty tasty. I would just keep putting on vaseline as best as you can.

You want to keep the nose roll as dry as you possibly can to keep infections from forming.
