We just purchased a pug puppy ( a play mate for Sasha, our shepherd/rottweleier mix, Sasha is 2yrs old) Madison, our pug, only has a stubby tail from birth (She is only 6 wks)Will the tail grow and curl?

Answer
No, the tail will not grow. If her tail is of normal length, they tend to curl as they get a bit older.


It is very dangerous to the pug to have a larger breed dog as a playmate. They can injure the pug very easily, especially the eyes - even pop them out, while playing. As a Pug rescue, we never place pugs with larger breed dogs as there have been too many injuries and deaths of pugs reported.
