Losing fur

Question
I bought my 1 1/2 yr old black female pug off of craigslist.com. The couple had a baby recently and through the dog outside. I didn't see her before I got her but wanted her none the less. When I went to get her the people had their friend meet us and said they'd get back with me on her shot records. I was not worried about walking into a situation like that seeing as though I was putting her into a better environment. She had a lot of fur gone off her back like a hot spot but the people had already warned me the vet said it was due to allergies. I had my vet check her out the next day and she agreed. Over the next 2 months 80% of her fur fell out. The vet still said allergies. I knew with all my heart it was probably ringworm so I started treating her for it. So far she's grown all her fur back except on her legs and neck in spots and she itches like crazy. What else can I do to increase fur growth and relieve the itching?

Answer
Dana,

First I would like to commend you on taking such good care of this pug!  I'm sure she is a very fortunate dog!

A iodine wash will help with the skin & itching.  Make sure to feed he a good quality dog food too.

It sounds like everything else you are doing is right on track!
