My pugs tail.

Question
QUESTION: I saw in a previous answer that if the tail quits curling it could be a sign of pain or illness. What I'm wanting to know is what kind of illnesses could it be, also he chases and bites on his tail a lot, cold that be the reason why it quit curling. He was born in may and he is a pure bread, hes also aka registered.

ANSWER: I would have him checked out by your vet. The tail down could be caused from pain or illness...it could be anything. Does he have fleas?

Being registered is as worthless as the paper it is written on. People put too much value on their pet being registered.

As long as he is healthy and happy, that is all that matters.

Please have your little one check by your vet to make sure everything is o.k.

Thanks and good luck.

QUESTION: Yes he does have fleas. We plan on taking him Tuesday to the vet, is that to long to wait? Today it was curled on and off throughout the day, what could make it switch from straight to curly?

Answer
I would give him a really good bath before then. The tail is just telling you that something is upsetting him.

The tail will go up and down. That is nothing to worry about. If it stays down, then you should be concerned.

Thanks and give  your little one a kiss for me.
