Best dry food to feed a toy poodle

I have a 16 month old toy poodle. She is a very itchy dog. I have taken her off of chicken products and have had her on lamb products for the past 7 months. Her coat looks great, but she is still itching just as much. What type of food would you recommend for her? I want her coat to keep looking good, but I can't stand the way she keeps on scratching.

The best food is one without the specific allergen that bothers her.  You could try a beef formula or a fish one.  Sometimes the best thing is expensive blood tests at the vet.  It may not even be her food.  Do stick to a dry chow. They are better for their teeth and breath.  

Too many baths dry the skin and cause itching.  Be very careful to rinse out the last bit of shampoo if you do bathe her.  My old dog hasn't had a bath since coming to live with us 4 years ago.
