Question
My girl Toy Poodle is 10 months old and has not yet had her cycle. Should I be worried.
I also have a Teacup Poodle and he is 1yr and 3mons old and he is very much in heat, so I have keeping them separated. Is this the right thing to do so early.

Answer
I have had females that never came in heat before they were a year old.  I wouldn't worry about it.  You don't need to keep them separated until she does come in heat.

Yes, I can give you a few answers, but if yu are going to keep intact dogs or even breed them, you need far more than I can help with.  Having a female go through a heat cycle is a big hassle, messy, and risky.  I can't imiagine doing it with an intact male in the house.  You would be much better off getting both of them fixed.  Do it now, before she comes in season.  Otherwise the vet may insist on waiting.  Besides saving the hassles, it reduces the chances of cancer later in life. Please make life easier for yourself, her, and society in general by getting her spayed as soon as a vet will do it.
