Question
I was told by one vet. that poodles should not eat  pork and another one said, in small amounts , it shouldn't hurt them.....One is a toy and the other one is a  teacup/......

Answer
I too have heard that pork is bad for dogs, but never from an authoritative source.  Most of what I know, I learned from a dog guide school, and their advice is no human food at all.  I have noted that with all the choices for dog chow on the market, I never saw a pork based one.

Frankly, there are very few things that will harm a dog in small quantities.  For toy or teacup Poodles, small means tiny.  Not even the fat trimmed from a pork chop.  It can be a rich bonding experience to transfer a small tidbit from your plate to the dogs dish after the meal.  But it needs to be no more than a token.  The bulk of a dog's food needs to come from a commercial chow.  With regular medical care and a good diet, you could have them to enjoy for 20 years.  You must keep them lean.  Small dogs are easy to overfeed, see  http://www.puppychow.com/products/popup_body_condition.aspx
