how to tell if my poodle is pregnant? color of pups?

Hi Kim
my standard apricot poodle bred with another apricot standard poodle. How can I tell if she is pregnant? It has been about 3 wks. If she is pregnant what color will the pups be?
She seems very needy all of  a sudden.she wants to be with me  all the time,and now whines if I dont take her. She also acts as if shes hunting for food. i have been giving her  soft/dry mixed together . That has helped with rummaging for food.

If she is pregnant, she will be expecting around her 63 day after the breeding.  Your dog very well could be pregnant if she is being needy like this, especially if this is her first litter.  You can give her some extra food if she wants some, but don't let her overeat.  If she is pregnant she will need the extra protein to help give nutrients to the puppies, but watch that she doesn't eat too much.  Say if your feeding her twice a day now, you can start giving her 3 feedings, but make the 3rd portion a smaller portion (maybe 1/2 of what you are feeding her per serving now)

As to the colors of her puppies, I can assume that some of them will be Apricot, Cream or White, but I can't have a good idea of what colors they will be without knowing what colors are in her parents backgrounds and the fathers background.  

If you know what the color background of the parents are, let me know and I will have a better idea of what color the puppies will be.
