Question
Can my 7month male teacup poodle breed with an 14 month shihpoo? The Shihpoo is in heat now so I want to breed my 7month with her.

Answer
Hello Keisha,
Chances are that your male Poodle won't have enough sperm yet to impregnate your female.  Also, Your female isn't old enough to be bred yet.  Male dogs can reproduce as early as 1 yr old, but you should wait until your female dog is at least 2 yrs old before she is bred.  Females that are bred before 2 yrs old haven't had a chance to fully mature yet and that can lead to problems with the pregnancy, deliverly and development of the puppies.
Also, you should make sure that before you breed your dogs that you get a health check on both of them.  You need to make sure that your dogs are healthy enough to breed and that your female especially is healthy enough to carry the puppies to term.

Please, for the sake of your dogs, reconsider breeding them until they are mature enough to have puppies.  You wouldn't let a 10 yr old child have a baby at such a young age, and you shouldn't want that for your female dog either, especially if you consider her a member of your family.
