Question
at what age does poddles come in heat

Answer
Hello Stacy,
Most Poodles will come into heat around 9-12 months of age.  If you intend to spay them, its best to do it before they come into heat.  If you intend to breed, its recommended to wait until they are 2 yrs old before breeding.  This gives them time to mature and to get all the hormones that they need to reproduce.
You should also get your dog Vet checked to make sure that she is healthy enough to carry puppies, and that she doesn't have any genetic issues that could be passed on to the puppies.

A female will be in heat for around 3 weeks.  You will know it has started when you first see blood.  9 days after you first see blood, she will be ready to be bred.  You typically breed a female on the 9th day, 11th day, 13th day and the 15th day if she is still in standing heat.  If the breeding took, she will have puppies in 63 days.

I hope this answers your question.  If you have more questions about this or Poodles in general, please feel free to ask.
