Question
Hi, I have vocal cord disfunction...which means my vocal cords close obstructing my airway.  During this time, it is believed that my CO2 builds up, because I get very confused, dizzy, and sometimes pass out.  I would like to find out if there is service dogs that can help me...things like - when I pass out, the dogs can go for help; or ordors like perfume and even soaps make my airway close; maybe they can warn me before I get hit with the ordor.  Thank you for your help

Answer
I don't know of any specifically, but much of your requirements sounds like a seizure response dog.  Go to www.iaadp.org and look for some programs that train a variety of assistance dogs.  Some good programs to check would be Canine Companions for Independence, Paws With a Cause, Colorado Canines, 4 Paws for Ability, etc.  Financial arrangements vary widely, from totally free to very expensive.
