Question
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE NORMAL HEART FOR A 2-3 YR OLD MINI FEMALE POODLE??

Answer
Hello Jerry,
This came from a Vet Website:
The normal respiratory rate for dogs is 16 to 20 breaths per minute. The normal heartrate is 70 to 160 bpm. Large dogs tend to have slower heart rates so your dog should be in the 70 to 120 bpm range. This varies according to the cardiovascular fitness of the dog, too. The more active the dog is the slower its resting heartrate will be.

A Miniature Poodle should have a heartrate around 150-160 when the dog is at rest.
If you take your dogs heartrate at all, you might want to take it over several hours or days to get an average for your particular dog. Be sure that your dog hasn't been active when you take it so that you don't get readings that are off.

You can also check your dogs gums to tell if your dogs blood is flowing normally.  Your dogs gums (or eye rims) should be a pink color, not gray or white.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions about this or other Poodle questions in general, please feel free to ask.
