wake up at night

Mu poodle wakes up 2 times at night, at 24 and 4am.. is this because he has only 5 weeks? I didnt know he was this young, he has already been taken from his mon. What can I do to make him sleep through the entire night without waking up?

Hello Lizbeth,
One thing you can do for your young dog is to put a tick tock clock in his crate (or wherever he sleeps) with him.  The sound of the ticking clock mimics the sound of his mother's beating heart, which will soothe your puppy.  You may also give him a soft toy that he can snuggle into to mimic his mothers belly.
You should also take him out to potty just before you go to bed so that he has a chance to empty his bladder before he goes to bed.  You can also take up his water an hour before he goes to sleep so that he doesn't have to potty throughout the night.  

Your Poodle won't get his bladder control until he is around 12 weeks old, but you can start good pottytraining habits now.  Take him out to potty in the same spot and take him out after he eats, plays, gets up after a nap and just after he wakes up in the morning and before he goes to bed.
