Hello Linda,
No, most Poodles have a great temperment and love everyone.  You DO have to be picky about where you get your Poodle puppy though.  You need to see the kennel, meet the parents and previous puppies if possible.  You want to see dogs that will come up to you without hesitation and with "happy tails" wagging.  Some poodles will attach themselves to just one person if they are only exposed to that one person, but as long as you socalize them properly, most poodles are very social dogs.
