Question
I have a one yr old Maltese boy who we have had since he was 6 weeks old.  He has been eating Eukanuba puppy food for small breeds ever since.  I never switched him to adult food because the puppy food has more calories.  He has never weighed over 4 pounds.  However recently he has loss his appetite, is losing his hair, and is losing weight.  I tried switching the food but that did not work.  He does not have fleas or seem to be having any skin conditions.  I am really worried about him......

Answer
Hi Marianne, I would love to help you and your maltese boy.  YES, we need to make some changes and you should see results in less than 3 weeks.

1.  Please put this boy on some Innova Evo adult dog food or Wellness Core adult dog food;
( if you can't find them, look for Merrick BEFORE Grain dog food)
Mix your food and the NEW food for 3 weeks - then go 100% to the NEW grain-free food.

2.  Let's get this Maltese onto some Activia yogurt ( MUST be the activia brand) give 1/2 of the Activia cup each day for 10 days.  This is a Probiotic and helpful to the skin.
YOU can get plain or van flavored Activia..

3.  Please call NuVET and get your baby onto the Wafers or Powder of the NuVET Plus supplement-
I am sure your kid has some Environmental Allergies and the NuVET will Blast them...
Let's re-build his immune system to fight off the Allergens.
Plus NuVET helps to re-grow the fur and reduces inflammation.

ORDER the NuVET here:   1-800-474-7044
It is best to call in the first order :  Use order Code 81098 - Ask for the 15% OFF Program.
http://www.nuvet.com/81098
39.00 will cover him for 4 months / he only need 1/2 teaspoon per day.

4.  Please ask the NuVET folks to send you the small bottle of hot spot tea tree oil shampoo - it helps to heal and re-grow the hair/fur.
I believe the bottle is about 10.00
It will last you a long time.  You only need to give him 3 baths per month....
This is good to use even when his skin is healthy and well.
