Skin Irritation maltese rash; maltese supplements and vitamin c;

QUESTION: My Maltese is almost 7 years old. She has always eaten the same food and had the same treats. A few months ago I noticed that the hair on her back was becoming very thin. Then I noticed some scab-like sores on her back and tail. I think she is allergic to something but I don't know how to find out what she is allergic to. I took her to the vet and he changed her dog food and gave her an antibiotic. Do you have any other suggestions for me?

QUESTION: The vet put her on Science Diet - the duck and potatoe version. She doesn't really like it but she will eat it if I put something on it. I will definitely try the suggestions you made! I have started giving her Omega 3 pills everyday too. I heard this will help with her coat??

Yes, an Omega 3 oil will help with the coat but Also, JOINTs and legs, hips...

As far as Science diet - we should change that over because it has too many junk fillers in it.
