My 8 y/o Maltese picky eater; Maltese love sojo home cooking ;

Question
My Maltese is 8 years old, feeding him is a chore.  You have to pretend that someone is taking his food.  That is how you have to jump start him.  Can you tell my why this is?  He also frequently eats grass and then vomits or has bowel movements, which are soft.  He is on liver pills for his high liver level and he gets his heart worm.  I love him dearly, but he is very high maintenance.  Can you give me a few pointers with him.  If he don't eat, I worry myself sick.  People are getting tired of me pampering hi.  Is this normal for a Maltese?  His name is Quincy.
