keeping hair out of maltese eyes

Hi.  I have a 10 week old sweet girl named Coconut.  The hair between her eyes covers the inside of her eyes. What can I do to get this out of her eyes until it is long enough to top-knot?

yes this can be a problem with maltese as the hair can become tear stained, i suggest either continuous brushing into the middle or down to train the hair to flow that way, but always keep the hair dry with a tissue to prevent staining.
