Question
Hi, I have a 8 week old maltese, she is doing so well with potty training. I have bathed her with a special "maltese secret" shampoo, b/c of her back end being yellow and her feet. She does not stand in peepee, co I don't understand why this is so yellow.....What can I do and what is the problem..thanks!

Answer
Hi Ellen - the yellow pup feet can be from the Pollen outside and some sands or dirt.  Also, the saliva when she licks her feet - even if she is just cleaning them, can turn the fur/ hair a little yellowish in color.
Please get her on a good supplement for Maltese kids : we use the NuVET products...Excellent wafer - just give her 1 teaspoon per day of the powder or 1/2 of the Wafer per day.
My maltese loves her nuvet... It keeps her healthy and her coat white.  Also, keeps away the tear stains...
only sold thru holistic vet offices and here:
http://www.nuvet.com/81098  ( very safe and natural for pups)

Next - another good thing you can do is so SoJo dog food ; be a pet chef- give your dog food in the morning and some SoJo feeing in the afternoon or evening : get the Grain free GREEN bag - all you do is add some lightly cooked meat to the SoJo mix:
we get free shipping to our door ...
see here:

( I like the Grain free GREEN bag - grain free keeps the tear stains away...)

Keep using your shampoo - 3-4 x per month - make sure you rinse good.

For daily paw care:

I use the "Human" baby wipes daily on my girl's feet-
I put just a tiny drop of Johnsons's  baby shampoo ( for humans,) add a few drops of water and then take it to the dirty paws - if needed daily.
JUST a tiny little drop - smaller than a pea and add some water.

BEST wishes!!!
