Question
Hey. I got Fluffy "male" when he was 10 weeks old. He was paper trained at first but he never got it right when it comes to pooping. Therefore, I have contacted some breeders, pet store owners and since I am away for long hours everyday they recommended a litterbox/crate training. Therefore, put his bed in one side and the litter box in the other. The crate is spacious so I made sure there was no extra space for any mistakes. However, he did poop and pee in his bed, he would hold himself for long hours which gets me concerned. I do feel sorry for him in the crate so the second i let him out "he goes everywhere"!! I need for this strategy to work, I do praise him when he pees in the box but he has done it in his bed too, why is he confused? I thought that they don't like "going" where they sleep!! I am taking a vacation for 10 days so that I can train him or at least be able to see some progress. Please advice me of what I should do. Housebreaking is not possible because of my long hours at work and I live in an apartment. So it wouldn't be an option for me. I heard from a couple of people that this method would work...am all confused and its frustrating , please HELPPPP!!

Answer
thats odd him going in his sleeping area.
all i would advise is perserverence.
i know it can be hard when livimg in an apartment environment a routine of walks could help in mornings and then train to use alternative other times etc.
Dont worry Perservere  and Good Luck
