Maltese with Arthritis

Question
My Maltese has Arthritis in his leg in comes and goes in different legs.  What can I give him that is safe.  A pet store recommended Benadryl.

Did you get anything for your maltese yet?  Benadryl is not a good choice ...I do have some ideas for you...
