Maltese wont eat

I have 2 nearly one year old puppies, brother and sister. The female has recently begun to give me a fit when it comes to eating. I've tried changing her food (which didn't work) and have even resorted to giving her "people food" (chicken dogs, cooked chicken breast) but she still nearly refuses to eat. Her brother on the other hand gives me no problems with eating. I've spent over a half an hour in the mornings trying to coax her to eat something. Any suggestions?

Its a tricky one this, my maltese has done the same before i have sat on the floor with him for hours trying to get him to eat some food. Although there can be a variety of reasons why shes not eating, has she shown any signs in her behaviour that she has an upset stomach if so and try this any way give her boiled chicken and rice, boil the rice oven cook the chicken then boil it together and drain feed it in small amounts another problem may be to do with her becoming on heat etc. But i would advise you to give your local vet a call dont take her just yet because remember vets are stressfull places for dogs and only ill dogs go so she is at more risk of picking something up. Another alternative which i did for my maltese is to give her food for fussy appetites mine has Royal Canin sensitive and loves it now. She may need a few days just to eat nothing and clear out her system but please just explain the symptoms to your vet and give the rice a try lol.
