maltipoo training issue

QUESTION: Hi, I have asked a few questions on this forum before and been trying the advice, but it does not seem to be working.  So, i'm seeking a bit more help.  

I have a 5.5 month old maltipoo who I am crate training during the day, but it seems like she just does not want to pee outside and will hold it as long as she possibly can, which is really amazing, then pees instantly when we come inside.  I started her on wee wee pads, so I am sure it's confusing, but I feel like she just doesn't understand.  I take the pads outside now and she just won't pee.

Here is our schedule.  I take her outside at 6am, she usually pees, then i crate her from 620-7am while at the gym, come home and feed her, then try and let her out at 720am.  She does not pee, so i bring her inside and try to catch her before / during her squat pose and take her out.  i would say 30% of the time, I actually am able to catch her before she has peed.  (if not, i do the whole scolding / take her to the door thing) I usually wait and am only able to catch her when she goes #2.  Then i take her outside and she takes FOREVER, to finish it, even though she was mid-poop upstairs in my apartment.  I crate her from 830am-1230pm, and she does not go in her crate.  I come home and take her out for 20 min, and nothing.  Then we come back in my apartment, i go through the same trying to catch her before she pees routine, which she almost instantly pees by / near the door.  Then, I crate her from 130-530pm, and come back home, same thing.  Let her out on a walk, 20 min, no pee.  Bring her inside and fee her, and she pees almost instantly or intermittent with eating.  all the time I try and catch her before she does this and take her outside.

I have tried the if she doesn't pee when outside, crate her for 30 min and then go back outside.  She still holds it.  I've tried removing the pads entirely and then she just pees randomly in my room, instead of near the door.  I've taken the pad outside and she only pees on it first thing in the morning.  And i've taken her out mid pee/poop (and i hate to be graphic), but unless she is literally pooping when i catch her, she will hold it, at times 30 minutes to an hour.  I no longer know how long to wait.

I am beginning to think that she can't handle the action outside or is too distracting.  I live on a busy street, tons of people and cars and food bits and trash on the ground (NYC).  There are also other dogs and just in general noise.  But, there is no where else to go.

PLEASE HELP!!  Any advice would be great.  Other than the peeing issue, she's the best dog ever!  I don't know what to do.

ANSWER: oh they are wierd little things puppies i mean when theyre mid poo in the house and you take them out to do it its like your putting them on hot coals and theres noway they will go lol-- but you have to break the habit.
pick a technique and stick to it.
it must be hard as you have to take her out on a walk to go.. or do you have a garden/ communual area if so a good reccomendation is the simple soloution potty training spray as it has a smell in it like the pads which you spray outdoors and it attracts the pup to it.

I think stick to the pads put more out if need be and keep putting pup on them eventually reduce the ammount of pads also please make sure to use a odour and stain remover spray from a pet outlet where your dog has been to the toilet as this is a key thing that prevents training as it attracts the dog constantly back to to the spot even if you think you have cleaned it all away as some cleaning products have chemicals such as chlorine in which also attracts dogs to go to the toilet there.
Remember dogs smell is so strong.

try to walk slow with her in a park in the same place as this may encourage her to go while you are out and remember when she does PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE!!!

QUESTION: thanks for the advice.  i don't have a communal space, just sidewalks with trees, no grass really, just dirt filled with corona bottle caps (eww, brooklyn).  do you think it's a good idea to take her out mid-pee, or wait for her to try doing that in my room and then bring her back out?

i am just afraid she will never get it and i'm teaching her our routine is my struggle, her peeing in my room, followed by me taking her outside and her sitting there!

is the spray actually called "simple solution potty training spray?"

i live in the uk lol and sympathise that you dont have anywhere nice to walk the pup!

But dont worry it will all come in time, you think that its hard now but you wont even be thinking about his in a years time as it will be a thing of the past.
when she is mid pee i would advise placing her straight on the puppy pad dont say no as it may confuse her just praise when she goes on the pad. i would advise learning her to go on the pads first and then continue from there as this will at least eliminate her going all around your home.
