barking ALL night

Hi - my husband bought me a 16 week old male maltese (maximus) :)and we have been reading how to train - he was purchased from a pet store so potty training has been a task - The worst is when we put him in his crate at night he barks ALL night long - he sounds like he is losing his voice! One night we caved and he slept like a baby at my sons feet(in his bed) I have heard this is not good but it can't be good to bark without stopping either- we do have him in his crate at times during the day and he's o.k. - just at night when we go to bed. I even take him during the middle of the night to potty but he almost falls asleep outside. Any suggestions??? THANKS

Until potty training has been mastered during the day at night will be a proble i gave some great tips on sleeping throughout the night that will be helpful to you in a previous question i have answered.
Also its up to you do you want him upstairs at night or in his crate if in the crate be firm but fair its the only way he will learn dont give in to him lol.
