Question
Is training a maltipoo different from training a maltese? If yes, what are the differences and  how should i do it.

Answer
Training a maltipoo shouldn't be too different from training a maltese. The only thing that may be different between the dogs would be shedding and temperment. A purebred dog may need more aggression training (which requires a dog training specialist in your home), but it really depends what side the maltipoo favors in genetics--the poodle or the maltese. Both poodles and maltese dogs can be nasty. Mixed breeds are said to be better tempered.

Really, training a dog to sit or lay down is the same in most dog breeds. It involves the same concepts and manipulations in the dog's mind. I would say that, in most situations, there is not much, if any, difference in training a maltipoo compared to a maltese. Their breeds are so close that this shouldn't be a big issue. Most dog trainers don't have certification in just one breed. The techniques work on most dogs (There are exceptions, of course!). They may, however, say they prefer a certain breed in their training facility. Some groomers say they only take poodles or dogs less than 20-30 pounds. This usually isn't the case, though, as all of this involves money, and most trainers and groomers take every breed if they are paid enough.

Good luck to you & thanks for the question!
