harness or collor?

Question
QUESTION: Hi we're buying a maltese but we are debating against a coller or harness. can you tell us which is better?

ANSWER: Well its up to you but i never leave my collor on my maltese in the house he only uses it on walks as it makes their fur tangle. But i do suggest harness even though i still ise a collar because when i first got my maltese a dog jumped  out on us and he bolted the collar broke where it fastened and he ran in front of a car i had to jump in the road waving my hands luckilly i got him he was only a baby and i was so so lucky. however had he been wearing a harness this wouldnt have happened plus how cute will he look in a little harness you can get diamantie ones lol.
its up to you but dont leave it on in the house
Good luck let me know how you get on.

QUESTION: hi its me again! i was wondering if we should get our maltese micro-chipped, tatooed, or try and get a ID tag on her harness. we are thinking of getting a micro chip because there is a sale at petco with 25$ for micro-chipping, but we are not entirely sure how the chipping works, or if its safe. Thanks! ur help is greatly appereciated!

Answer
Ok... Well firstly i want you to know this decision is entirley up to you. but... when i got my maltese i had a good relationship with my breeder and i quieried mirochipping she told me a story that she was so upset by, and honest its true she sold a maltese and advised the new owner against micro- chipping the owner did it anyway and within seconds of having the implant the maltese collapsed. Put it this was, maltese are such small dogs and they use the same implant for a rottweiller as they do for maltese. Many breeders will advise it and it is entirley up to you and im not saying that the same could happen to you, anyway back to the collapsed maltese, the owner immediatley contacted my breeder and the dog took ages to recover its because of the shock she had to use some sort of homeopathic remedies to help her recover etc anyway you get the jist of the story. I have never used micro chips but i have a pet tag - i dont know where you live but im from the Uk and i use this scheme named pet back im sure where you live theres an equivilent, but now dog theft is common and if your dog gets stolen and they hold the hostage believe me this is true lol the company deals with itetc its a good scheme hard to explain and if they get lost they fund adverisement etc lol.
To cut an long story short i would just advise a tag on collar but its up to you.
I bet your fed up of reading now arent you.
I have never believed in it and i believe that it is unnecesarry to put them through the risk. If you are going to do it i would advise wait until he is around 6 months when he is physically stronger to deal with it lol.
Thanks Good Luck
