Puppy Maltese Barking all night

My parents just bought a 10-12 week old Maltese male after falling in love with our 6 yr old female Maltese.  They kept it in the bathroom over night and he barked all night long.  We let ours sleep in our bed, so this is not a problem for us but my parents refuse to do the same (and I agree b/c their bed is too high and they do not and will not get a doggy stair case).  I suggested that they put the crate in their room to calm the puppy down b/c ours just seems to need that closeness and cannot stand to be pinned up when people are in the house.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

well different soloutions suit different people,
you could use a crate however even a basket will do at bed time place the dog in its basket in the room and if he gets out keep placing back in and say bed time eventually he will get the hand of it also a buck wheat cusio that you warm in the micro wave can also be soothing for the puppy.
