Maltese House Training

Question
Will you explain the concept of crate training? My maltese is 11 weeks and cries the entire time while in a crate. It scares me because I do not want his blood pressure to get low because he is getting so excited and crying all night. I honestly do not think that he knows what to do on the wee wee pad. How can I show him? It feels cruel to let him cry all night but he surely does it and he has pooped in his crate.

If  you feel uncomfortable using a crate get rid of it they are not for all dogs.
Its your choice but the pads- every so often place your pup on it and also when accidents occur put him back on the pad. and encourage toilet there.
dont worry eventually you will get used to his routine eg when he needs to go to the toilet.
i would also suggest perhaps not feeding him after six and then letting him go toilet before bed.
Also dont worry at this age they cannot walk very far before they need to go to the toilet and accidents will occur.
