Question
Hi,my male huskey appears healthy and active and is almost 16 months old.the problem is that he eats really fast and then vomits after every feed(comercially prepared + nuts)he is fed twice daily, this has been ongoing for quite a few months and im now pretty concerned, any suggestions???? appreciated!!

Answer
Hi Corla,

You might want to spread the food over a cookie sheet.  It will take some time for the dog to finish all the food since it is spread out.  Placing a heavy ball or object in the middle of the bowl isn't a bad idea either.  This makes the dog have to work around the object and doesn't allow him to eat so fast.  You might also have to start hand feeding him to a while.  This will train him to he needs to eat slow.  My concern is he might choke from eating so fast.  If we make it harder for the dog to eat his food, it will decrease how fast he is eating it.

If you have anymore questions, please ask.
