Question
recently since my dog has been sheading her coat i have noticed she looks very skinny around her belly area it almost looks as if she is sucking it it. at first i put it down to her age and that she will fill out eventually but i dont know now. she is wormed on a regular basis and she does eat alot but prefers to eat our food instead of her own. this is my first huskie so wouldnt mind some advise on this. my last dog was a rotweiller so this one is a whole different thing all together.

Answer
Tough to say without seeing and feeling the dog, but Siberians often have a very pronounced waist much like a greyhound (muscular chest, thin stomach/waist area).  So this might be fine.  You shouldn't be able to see her ribs, but you should be able to feel them.  This is a good check for overall weight on any dog, and after blowing coat, it's a great check for Siberians too.  Sounds like at 11 months though, she's doing fine.  Do you know her height and weight?  Height should be measured at the shoulder and should be around 20 inches or so.  Her weight should probably be between 35-50 lbs.  This is of course assuming she is within the "standard" for pure-bred Siberians.
