Feeding a Husky

Question
Hello Michelle
My Husky is 4 months old. How often should I feed him and what kind of food is best for him(can, dry or both)?

Answer
A 4 month old puppy should be teething so dry would be the best. I like to save wet food for instances when your dogs refuses to eat for one reason or another. I like to give my dogs Canadae dog food because it has no fillers and contains no Soy which tends to give huskies diarrhea. A pup should usually be fed 2 times a day once in the morning and once at night. Puppies easily can suffer from low blood sugar id they go without eating for a long period of time. I give them half of their daily food in the morning and half in the evening. Do not overfeed. Extra weight on a puppy can lead to back problems when they get older (expressly if your pup is a longer husky). Each extra pound on a dog is like 20 extra pounds on us. -Michelle B ^^
