Question
We recently got a little male husky, he's nearly 10 weeks old now. The problem is there's often nobody at home to mind him for five or six hours a day and I was just wondering what was the best way to keep them occupied while we're gone as he is very playful? Also what training techniques do they respond best to? Your help will be very much appreciated, Thank You.

Answer
Positive training is the best, Award the good ignore the bad.
The best way to keep him occupied is playing a game by hiding Kongs full of good food all over the house. I would say 4 or 5 Kongs, put his daily feeding in them with peanutbutter, or such. It takes a while to get the treats out of a Kong, plus the fact he has the find them helps a little. But while you are home train him to look for them by hiding them and helping him find them while you are home.
