Siberian Huskies eating habits

Question
I have a two year old husky unfortunately he has moved three times in the last five months. Once when i got him, and twice after. The food that was sent with him he would not eat. Owner said fifty pounds would last a month, the first four days we had him he wouldn't eat so i took him to the vet, and he was under weight by 15 pounds. Finally got him to eat canned dog food mixed with dry. Separated the can food and went to dry and was doing just fine, then it got cold and he quit eating. One of his bowls would last him three weeks. this is a good six cups of food. all he wants to eat is human food, or cats. But i will not let him eat cats that is inhuman. His energy level has dropped substantially, and i can not figure out what is wrong. Is it common for the Siberian to decrease eating during the colder months?
Thank you

Answer
No it is not. Do you know that feeling, you know the one where you are so stressed out because of a speach you have to give or a presentation you have to present. Well right now from moving so much with no consitincy in his life he feels that nervous and pent up. He is lost and doen't knwo where he belongs or anything. He needs a conistant schedule and a consistant place to eat.
Just to be safe, you did bring a stool sample to the vet. Round worms can cause an upsset stomach and also can cause them not to eat.

Right now I would get some ground beef just for him. Boil it with water to cook it and mix a little of it (after you cool it in your firdge) with the food. Another reason is that somone spoiled your puppy while they where watching him now he EXSPECTS that kind of treatment and anything less he won't eat. I have an alpha male that is this way. My dad cooked him breakfast every morrning when he was a puppy. When my dad went back to work I had to deal with him simply not eating because it wasn't his corn beef hash with eggs, cheese melted on the top. Who would eat dog food after that! I picked out a feeding time every morning. I would give him his food with Meat in it and I would decrease the meat amount every 3 days. (Also 6 cups is an aweful lot of food! What are you feeding him?) I feed Canadae and Taste of the wild, with that dog food 2 cups a day is all they need per serving I would get a better quality dog food. The more cups of food you have to serve per feeding the less nutritous the food is and the more fillers their are in it.
Unfourtanatly you can't make a dog eat unless they want to.
Here is a artical on why a dog doesn't eat.

In my opinion he is stressed or just being a brat.
