Older puppy being rough with new puppy

Question
Hello, We have a 7 month old goldendoodle and we were given a husky mix puppy a few weeks ago.  He's now 9 weeks old and about 10lbs.  Our goldendoodle is 45 lbs and very rough when he's allowed near the new puppy.

We want them to get used to each other, but I am afraid that Bear will seriously hurt the pup.  He is used to playing with my mom's Scottie and they roll around and wrestle very roughly. They've been together since we brought Bear home because my mom babysits the kids.

How do we teach him to play nice with the new puppy? He is clearly playing and not trying to hurt him, but the puppy's yelps and obvious fear don't deter him from the rough play.  We have to stop him and keep the puppy away from him all the time, it's come to us keeping the puppy in another room with a gate to keep him safe.

What do you suggest we try?  Bear is neutered and very friendly, I just don't think he realizes how big he is in relation to the new pup.

Answer
If their is no problem it is okay that they share a bowl, the only problem I could think of is that you do you know how much food is each eating? You don't want any of them overweight. Hip dysphasia has a higher chance of happening in overweigh dogs and both of them have developing hips until they are 2. -Michelle B ^^
