14 week old bulldog puppy with head cold

Question
I have a 14 week old bulldog puppy - he's had a head cold for 3 weeks now, and is on his 3rd round of antibiotics (clavamox each time) - After the 2nd round of antibiotics he seemed to improve slightly, but 3 days after the course was completed, his nose became extremely runny again, so I took him back to the vet.
It's been 3 days since he started the 3rd round of antibiotics, and today he seems really listless, and shaky on his legs, with his right back leg sometimes giving way when he's walking.
Is it normal for him to still be battling this head cold? He sounds very chesty and is unable to get rid of the gunk - the vet said he doesn't have a fever, and his lungs are clear - please help!! Is there anything I can do to ease his breathing?

Answer
I am glad you took the little guy in.  Yes, some vets go overboard!
Also, many people don't follow the Vet's instructions on care.  That is one reason why they like them to stay.  The other reason is $$$$, a vet office is a " for profit" business...

Glad he will be on another antibiotic.  Most vets do not do 3 courses of the same thing... ( Like the other vet did to you)

You may want to consider NuVET Plus - a wafer vitamin treat for your little one.  Excellent and helps with allergies, hot spots, dry skin, coat problems, arthritis, digestive ( gas) troubles,,,, and many other ailments that can strike.
Many pups come home, from the breeder, on NuVET Plus.

Also, some yogurt every-other-day with the Active cultures will be great for him, too.  The ACTIVA brand will help his system to stay balanced.  ( I would do 1/2 cup every other day for a lifetime....)
Low fat if he tends to be on the heavy side.

Glad he will be ok!
