Are cats supposed to lose their teeth? I have a pixiebob/manx mix who is very playful and likes to grip things in his paws as well as his teeth. We love the twirp a lot and want him to remain healthy.

The answer is dependant on the age of the cat.  Young cat lose their deciduous ("baby") teeth just as humans do before their permanent teeth come in.  This can happen anywhere between approximately 3 and 8 months of age.  Older cats may lose teeth due to dental and gingival disease.  Your veterinarian can recommend a dental care program to keep his teeth clean and healthy.
