Milk for cats

Question
My cat REALLY wants to finish off the milk left in my cereal bowl in the morning.  Is that ok?  I have heard that milk can be bad for cats.  I only use 2%, never whole milk.  I also sprinkle chopped walnuts on my cereal so there would be some residue of that.  I eat Quaker Oatmeal Squares so there isn't much sugar in the cereal.  Thank you for your time.

Well if you put your bowl in the sink she wouldn't even know what's in it. Wink wink.

Milk can cause diarrhea in cats as they cannot digest it properly after they are weaned from their moms.

But some cats, if they are used to it, and don't drink much, don't seem to have any effects from it.

Just keep an eye on the litter box.
