chihuahua ear infection

Question
We have a one year old chihuahua who is on his 3rd ear infection.  The vet says he will always have trouble and we need to clean it twice a week.  We have been doing that and he is now sick again.  Any chance that he is allergic to something in his food? (We give him Beneful Puppy)  and if so, what food do you recommend?  We have tried Purina Sensitive Stomach  and he won't eat it at all.  Thank you in advance.

Let me know if you have any questions:

Please mix the Beneful with some Innova Puppy dry food.. Do a 50/50 mix for 1 month.  Then, after the month, give 100% of the Innova Puppy food.  Also, please give 1 tablespoon of Innova wet ( canned) on top of the dry.

Also, add 1/2 a teaspoon of salmon oil on top and mix into ONE meal per day...
