my 6 month old kitten has stopped playing completely and he doesnt seem to be gaining weight. What could be wrong with him?

You should take him to the vet for an examination as well as a stool sample check.   If he was not tested for Feline Leukemia, he should be tested.   If he has not be dewormed, then a routine deworming is in order.  He may need to have other tests to determine what is wrong with him.  Make sure you are feeding him a high quality all-natural diet as nutrition is the best medicine.  I would recommend Royal Canin kitten food www.royalcanin.us
