Question
We have a 115 pound eight-year-old black lab mix.  Over the past few years she has been "leaking" a clear, odorless fluid.  She would leak a few days at a time and then not for a month or so.  This past week she has been leaking again, but this time it is definitely urine.  It is yellow and has the distinct odor of urine.  She leaks HUGE amounts and it appears to be almost constant. Is this a problem that can be fixed with medication?  Or is she just getting older and we have to deal with it?

thank you
janice

Answer
no no! this can be helped with medication.

take her to the vet for an exam to make sure this is not a urinary tract infection vs. incontinace.

a drug called phenyproplnamaline is the choice meds for this problem. its still labled and sold safely for veterinary use.
