Question
My poodle is 7 months and have not lost all her teeth yet; spefically her fangs and her front teeth. The only ones she has lost are the back. I see that on the top her adult teeth are behind her baby teeth. Do I need to worry?

Answer
D

Poodles are notorious for having retained deciduous teeth.  Which in plain english means that they dont naturally loose their baby teeth.

I've seen as few as 1 or 2 teeth remaining and as many as 17 (out of 18).  These baby teeth will have to be surgically removed by a veterinarian because the roots of the baby teeth did not resorb normally.  I will usually not do this until all of their permanent teeth have erupted.

So, I recommend taking your puppy to the veterinarian and getting their opinion and an estimate on costs.
