Question

foxy toe
I noticed a cut on the web of one of her toes, The cut never bled but it looks swollen and the web is not attached anymore. It looks as if the web detached from the toe, How could this happen? What can I do? So far I cleaned it with peroxide and put neosporin in between the toes. She is not limping or anything she is acting normal but it hurts when I touch the toe.

Answer
Dogs slice their toes all of the time like this. The best thing you can do it soak it in some warm water and epsom salts and then dry it really well. You can keep neosporin on it if she won't lick it off.

If it doesn't look like it's starting to heal in two days, or gets red and inflamed or has a drainage then she needs to head to the vets.

Some of these do require sutures to heal properly and without getting infected.
