Question
I rescued Mannie about 2 months ago and he has been doing great, however a few days ago he started just acting different, or not himself. those were the only symptoms, maybe a slight fever. now he is not eating, doesn't seem to want to drink either,is sore i cannot tell if it is his back or stomach, he don't want to move(this afternoon he would if encouraged, but not tonight)whines if he cannot see me, doesn't seem to want to sleep. I came home from work early and he had urinated on himself. He has had all of his shots, i personally took him to get them. i first thought he was constipated but he is getting worse. no food change, or any new "anything", all the same but my Mannie. Help please.

Answer
When dog's usually start not being "themselves" it's because they are in pain, or have injured something some where some how. Most little dogs twist something jumping off of the couch or the bed. This could be their back, legs, shoulder, knee.

Big dogs can do the same thing but it can also be intestinal or something internal.Since you didn't tell me his age or size I can only guess at this.

You need to take Manny to see your vet and have him looked over. The vet will find the problem and help him out. That is the best thing you can do for him as soon as possible.

I hope he gets well soon. Please let me know what the vet finds.
