bump on tummy

I have a small Japanese Chin Puppy. She is 6 months old and is into everything.  We had her spayed on the 1st and i have been looking at her tummy daily to make sure everything is all right.  She has had her stiches removed and everything is healed but there is a bump nead the scar. It is very small maybe a 16th of an inch wide and roundish like a pebble.  She acts like nothing is wrong and continues to play, eat, and potty like normal.  But what could that little bump be.  It wasn't there before.

The material that sutures are made from will often cause a small amount of inflammation, so given the timing and the fact that everything seems to be healing well otherwise I would say that this should not be a cause for concern.  It may take a few weeks for the bump to resolve.  Keep an eye on the area and watch to make sure it does not get larger or infected, if so have her examined by your veterinarian.
