American Eskimo skin growth

Question

Buddy
We have a 9-11 Year old American Eskimo.  We don't know his exact age because we adopted him from a rescue.  He has always been very healthy, but we just saw this growth on the underside of his tail.  He was licking it and it made his long fur all matted, so it stuck out to us.  I have attached a picture.  Can you tell me what you think it is.  At first, we tought it was a tick, but it seems to be his skin, not the body of an engorged tick.  Any ideas???

Answer
Hello:  Well it doesn't look angry!  That is a good sign, no redness or swelling!  Next time you are in the vet, for immunizations, have your vet take a look.  As dogs get older they tend to get growths that appear to look like this.  Keep and eye on it.  If it gets any bigger please see the vet right away.

Make sure your baby is on some Salmon OIL each day - 1-2 tablespoons drizzled on top of his dog food.  ( pure salmon oil)

Also, a good skin and coat supplement / immune system booster is NuVET Plus - Learn about NuVET here;

It would cost you about .55 cents per day for the NuVET Plus wafer nutrition program.

Good Luck!!!
